Privacy Policy

1. Local-first records

Diary entries, safety plans, contacts, report settings, and journal notes stay on your device unless you deliberately export them. Pacifica does not receive those records through normal app use.

Installed iOS and Android release builds are designed to use an encrypted SQLCipher database. Browser storage does not provide the same native encryption guarantees. Device security, backups, screenshots, exported files, and a compromised device can affect confidentiality.

2. Accounts, consent, and subscriptions

If you create an account, Supabase processes your email, account identifier, authentication records, and session information. Stripe processes payment method, billing, tax, subscription, refund, and chargeback information. Pacifica receives account and subscription status but not full card numbers.

We record the Terms and Privacy versions and hashes you accepted, server acceptance time, platform, locale, and acceptance method. We do not include IP addresses, device identifiers, diary data, safety-plan data, or health information in that ledger.

3. Device features, exports, and support

Biometric checks are performed by your operating system; Pacifica does not receive face or fingerprint templates. Notifications use neutral wording and can be disabled. If you contact support, we process the information you choose to send.

When you export a report or use a call, message, sharing, crisis-directory, or external-link action, the selected recipient or service controls the information it receives.

4. How information is used and disclosed

Pacifica uses account and operational information to authenticate users, provide paid access, prevent fraud, secure and support the service, comply with law, and communicate about transactions or material service changes.

Pacifica does not sell diary or safety-plan information and does not use it for advertising. Account information may be disclosed to service providers acting for Pacifica, during a business transaction, to comply with law, or to protect rights and safety.

The Skillful Moment website may display advertising through Google AdSense after advertising is approved and enabled. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies and process information such as IP address, browser or device information, approximate location, pages viewed, and ad interactions to deliver, measure, secure, and personalize advertising as permitted by your settings and applicable law. Advertising systems do not receive the diary, safety-plan, contact, journal, or report content stored locally in the Skillful Moment app. Where required, advertising requests will be held until an appropriate consent choice is collected.

5. Retention and account deletion

You can edit or erase local records using app controls. Signing out does not erase local records. Account deletion removes active authentication and subscription access, subject to processing time and obligations involving open transactions.

Pacifica may retain a pseudonymized legal-acceptance record and necessary billing evidence for seven years after account deletion for contract, tax, audit, chargeback, fraud-prevention, and dispute purposes. The retained acceptance record is separated from active authentication and does not contain diary, safety-plan, contact, or report content.

6. Security and incidents

Pacifica uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it handles, but no system is perfectly secure. If a covered incident occurs, Pacifica will provide notices required by applicable law, including health-breach rules where they apply.

7. Your choices and rights

You may access and update account information, cancel a subscription, delete your account, erase local app data, disable notifications, and choose whether to export. Depending on where you live, law may provide additional access, correction, deletion, appeal, or nondiscrimination rights.

Skillful Moment’s initial release is for U.S. adults age 18 and older. It is not directed to children. Contact privacy@skillfulmoment.com to make a privacy request.

8. Changes and contact

Pacifica may update this Policy. Material changes will receive notice and, where required, renewed acknowledgement or consent. Pacifica Software LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, operates Skillful Moment. Contact privacy@skillfulmoment.com with questions.
